Cowichan Tribes acquired a 7.5% interest in a $200M liquid gas storage facility at Mount Hayes, near Ladysmith.  The facility is owned by a limited partnership created for the purpose of enabling Cowichan Tribes and Chemainus First Nations to participate in the venture. Fortis BC leases, operates, insures, and maintains the asset.  Headwater Capital arranged financing for the acquisition of Cowichan’s interest through RBC Capital Markets.
