Pieter van Gils helped the Heiltsuk Nation with its management of Bella Bella Fish, a fish processing plant that provides employment for many Heiltsuk families. Pieter assisted in improving financial reporting, analyzing results, drawing conclusions regarding changes to be made to the management of the plant, and ensuring that results were tracked in a very timely manner over the processing season. This helped Bella Bella Fish to achieve break-even on a cash basis within one year, which represented a significant improvement.
