Tsleil Waututh Forestry Lands

The Tsleil Wauthuth Nation purchased 800 ha of private forestry land that had been estranged and held by third parties for many decades. Pieter van Gils arranged financing for the acquisition by a consortium consisting of Vancity Credit Union and Ecotrust Canada. The Inlalaiwatsh lands were subsequently FSC certified and support a small-scale forestry operation.
