Xeitl 2MW Run of River

The Taku River Tlingit Nation built and operates its own run-of-river project. It keeps the lights on in Atlin, BC, which previously necessitated burning hundreds of thousands of litres of diesel every year. Headwater Capital helped secure equity financing for Xeitl from the First Nation Regeneration Fund so the project could remain 100% owned by the Nation.  The First Nation Regeneration Fund published a brochure that describes the project and explains why it was important to the nation not to give up any ownership.
